Hoy es domingo y aprovecho que no hay nadie en casa para responder a tu carta.

Por lo que veo estás muy ocupada con tus estudios, lo mismo que yo. Te deseo mucho éxito en tus exámenes.

Mis vacaciones empiezan a fines de este mes. A principios del mes de julio mis padres y yo pensamos ir a México a pasar algunos días. Nuestra intención es estar cuatro días en la capital. Luego pensamos quedarnos tres días en Guadalajara, donde tenemos unos amigos, y finalmente queremos pasar una semana en Cancún. Esperamos estar por lo menos quince días fuera de San José. Nuestros planes son salir de aquí el 5 de julio y volver el 21.

¿Y qué piensas hacer tú? ¿Cuándo vienes a San José otra vez? Mis padres siempre preguntan por ti y te envían muchos recuerdos. Espero recibir pronto noticias tuyas.

Dear Pat:

Today is Sunday and I’m taking advantage that there is no one at home in order to respond to your letter.

From what I see you are very busy with your studies, the same as I. I wish you much success on your exams.

My vacation begins at the end of this month. At the beginning of the month of July my parents and I are thinking of going to Mexico to spend a few days. Our intentions are to be four days in the capital. Then we are thinking to stay three days in Guadalajara, where we have some friends, and finally we want to spend a week in Cancún. We hope to be at least 15 days away from San José. Our plans are to leave from here July 5^th and return the 21^st.

And what are thinking to do? When are you coming to San José again? My parents always ask about you and send you many regards. I hope to receive your news soon.
