Practice #1
Practice #2
The Future Tense.  The English equivalent of the Spanish future is will or shall + verb.  You have already learned the Spanish substitute which uses the construction Ir a + infinitive.  This construction expresses future actions or states, very much lke the English present tense of the expression going to.

or: Vamos a ir al cine esta noche.

Iremos al cine esta noche.

We are going to go to the movies tonight.

We will go to the movies tonight

or: Anita toma el examen mañana.

Anita tomará el examen mañana

Anita is taking the exam tomorrow.

Anita will take the exam tomorrow.

Please Note:  The Spanish future is not used to make requests, as is the English future.  In Spanish, requests ae expressed with the verb querer.
¿Quieres llamar a Tomás Will you call Tomás

Regular Future Forms.  Most Spanish verbs are regular in the future.  The infinitive serves as the stem of almost all Spanish verbs in the future tense.

Irregular Future Forms.  A few verbs are irregular in the future tense.  These verbs use a variation of the infinitive as a stem.  The endings are the same as those for regular verbs.
