  • Bring class schedule/statement with you to the College
Providing your class schedule/statement to the Business Office will allow a member of the Business Office staff to better serve you.  By showing your class schedule/statement or receipt to the Student Affairs Office, you will be able to obtain a student identification card and parking permit for the semester indicated on your statement or receipt.  Also, do not forget your class schedule/statement to purchase your books from Footnotes, the College bookstore.

All students for which mandatory coverage is required must provide proof of health insurance coverage and return a signed waiver to the Business Office or the student account will be charged the cost of the student health insurance.

Questions regarding Student Health Insurance should be addressed to the Athletic Trainer at (302) 225-6217 or healthinsurance@gbc.edu.

  • Purchase books
Footnotes offers personal counter service for all textbooks therefore students do not have to struggle to determine what books they will need for any given semester. A bookstore staff person assists each customer with text and supply requirements. The store carries new and used textbooks required for courses offered by the College. As a general rule of thumb, the bookstore begins selling textbooks approximately one month prior to every semester.

  • Apply for Financial Aid
Financial aid funds are available in the form of scholarships, grants, loans, or work opportunities for eligible undergraduate and graduate students who need financial aid assistance in order to pursue a college education. The type and amount of financial aid which is awarded to qualified students is based upon the extent of the students need as well as the amount of financial aid funds available for disbursement. All types of aid are awarded for a period of one academic year; therefore, student must re-apply for financial aid funds each year. File a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA is used to calculate your Estimated Family Contribution. The FAFSA will also serve as an application for most of the federal and state financial aid programs.

  • Maintain Financial Aid Eligibility
To maintain eligibility, financial aid recipients must meet the satisfactory academic progress standards. The final grade(s) that a student receives at the end of each semester or session has a direct effect on the academic progress standards. Be sure to see your Financial Aid Advisor before dropping any classes.

  • Set-up a Declining Balance Meal Plan (if applicable)
Students, faculty, and staff can put money on account for any amount over $20.00 and then make purchases at the Cantina using their college ID card. We strongly recommend that you contact your roommates to become acquainted with each other. This will also provide you with the opportunity to discuss who will bring particular items to your room and apartment.
