Enhancing the business law component that is required of
all business administration majors, the Legal Studies Concentration is
designed to provide students with a foundation in general legal
principles and practices. The primary objective of the concentration is
to provide students with a survey of criminal and constitutional law in
the United States. In addition, the concentration offers students a
global perspective with course work in international law. Moreover, with
the widespread use of the Internet in business and society, the
concentration also examines contemporary legal and ethical concerns
associated with the rapidly evolving realm of cyberspace. The
concentration is well suited to students planning business careers
requiring insight into general legal principles and practices.
Additionally, it provides a foundation for students seeking to continue
the study of law upon graduation.
