    • 10/25 - The Lightning places 1st in the Conference Meet at Belmont Plateau.  Freshman Rob Netta outpaces the competition for a new course and school record of 26:48.95.

    • Runner of the Year:  Rob Netta (Freshman)
    • All-Conference Team (6 of the Top 15 Runners): Rob Netta (1st, 26:48), Charles Mayaka (2nd, 27:44), Matt Lang (9th, 28:36), Brad Paski (11th, 28:41), Keith Short (13th, 28:49), and Micky Jones (14th, 29:22).

2002:

  • 2002 CACC All-Conference Awards:
    • Co-Coach of the Year: Kelly Parsley (2nd Season)
    • Men’s Team wins the Championship
      • All-Conference Team (Top 15 Runners): Paul Tuoni (4th, 28:51); Brad Paski (5th, 28:55); Adin Lewis (11th, 29:24); Meder Suyundukov (12th, 29:26); and Brandon Miller (13th, 29:47).
    • Women’s Team takes 6th out of 7 teams.

2001:

  • GBC takes 5th in 2001 Region X rankings.

  • GBC finishes 3rd in the CACC for 2001.

  • Teammates Ricardo Ardila & Ahmad Alkadars earn places on the 2001 CACC All Conference Team. Ricardo placed 3rd, with a time of 29:13, and senior Ahmad placed 8th with a running time of 29:50.

  • Ahmad Alkadars places 1st in the Philadelphia Bible College Invitational (10/6/01) with a time of 29:42, setting a new course record.

  • In a historic debut, the GBC Lightning wins its first competition at the Arcadia University Invitational (9/8/01).
