Coach Conley hopes the 2007 cross country season will be remembered for its team effort and outstanding improvement in the CACC conference meet. The challenging schedule will provide the ladies with a down hill run to the CACC meet. The Lightning will see some top Division I and II teams in the first half of the season with the fastest race being the Paul Short Run at Lehigh. The returning leaders on the trails this year will be Thesalie Miller (Jr) and Jessica Kazseta (Sr) both in the top five of all time fastest runners at Goldey-Beacom College. The women’s team has six new faces that will provide strength up front and depth spread throughout the returning varsity runners. The team will have three new comers which will make a difference in scoring points right away: Brittany Murray (Hodgson H.S), Jackie Nisbett (Woodbury H.S) and Sarah Mackinnon (Middletown H.S). Returning GBC student Erin Yake (Jr) will be looking to place well in many of the meets and move into scoring positions. Other runners competing this year will be Kate Dragone (Jr), Rachel Wells (Fr), Daci Williams (Sr) and Myeshia Hales (Soph). Not only will this team improve the College’s ranking in the conference, it will be attempting to have all seven of its varsity runners in the schools best fifteen women runners of all time.
