2007 Season Outlook
Coach Joe Kissel begins his second season as coach of the women’s tennis that was first established at GBC in fall 2005. New additions to the team include Freshman Luisiana Souto from Venezuela and Arielle Alford from Bordentown, New Jersey, and graduate student Dona Roy from Botswana. Holdovers from 2006, all from Wilmington, Delaware, are Seniors Stephanie Bain and Kate Lewis and Junior Berline Duperoy.
The young women have been working hard since the beginning of preseason practice, which began August 18. The women are dedicated and determined to improve their skills to compete in the CACC. As a result, the 2007 team should be much improved over the 2006 team.
Luisiana Souto will play #1 singles and doubles. Stephanie Bain will play #2 singles and #1 doubles. The remaining four players will compete for the remaining four singles and two doubles positions.
