2007 Season Outlook
A large ’06 graduating class and other attrition factors make 2007 a challenging year for the Lady Lightning. Goldey-Beacom College hits the pitch for the 2007 season with a motivated blend of experienced and novice players. Team captains Nadinne Fayad, Laura Yanacek, Krystle Harris, and Jen Brown provide a solid core of offensive and defensive talents while Kate Attenberger brings her considerable offensive prowess to the team. New to the college are freshmen Brittany Owens, Adrianna Polimeni, Janae Weldon, and transfer student Danielle Burns--all high school standouts--who will make an immediate impact on the field. Rounding out the roster are Kelly Ferris, Sara Hill, Stacy Longacre, Lourdes Guerra, and Dana Stoltenborg who will attack the game with heart and drive. A brand new coaching staff, hired earlier this year, is working diligently to solidify the foundation of the team. With 12 players from this 2007 team eligible to return next year, optimism runs strong for a successful ’08 season.
