WILMINGTON, DE (October 19, 2004) – Junior Norah Burdette (Ellicott City, MD) had 20 kills and freshman Adrienne Melvin (Newark, DE) added 16 kills and the Goldey-Beacom College volleyball team knocked off second-place USP, 3-0, Tuesday night in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference action at MBNA America Hall.

The Lightning won game one 30-28, game two 30-18 and game three 30-23.

Freshman Kendra Russell (New Castle, DE) chipped in with 11 kills for the Lightning (13-11, 10-4 CACC), who snapped a four-game losing skid. The Devils, meanwhile, fell to 14-8 with the loss and 12-3 in conference play.

Emily Roth led USP with 17 kills and 17 digs while Michelle Hogga had six kills and nine digs.
