RUTHERFORD, NJ (October 27, 2004) – Junior Norah Burdette (Ellicott City, MD) and freshman Kendra Russell (New Castle, DE) each had eight kills as Goldey-Beacom College defeated Felician College, 3-0, in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference volleyball action Tuesday night in New Jersey.

 

The Lightning won game one 30-23, game two 30-13 and game three 30-18 to improve to 16-12 on the season and 13-4 in conference play. The Golden Falcons, meanwhile, remained winless on the season at 0-24, including 0-17 in conference play.

 

Juniors Claire Phillips (Wilmington, DE) and Ashley Hultberg (Wilmington, DE), along with sophomore Katie Wentling (Wilmington, DE) each had five kills for Goldey-Beacom.

 

Ashley Patterson led Felician with five kills while Tara Campion had four.

 

The Lightning return to action this Thursday when they travel to New York to take on Dominican College at 7 p.m.
