MANCHESTER, NH (October 18, 2004)– The Goldey-Beacom College volleyball team dropped three matches this weekend during its trip to New Hampshire, falling to St. Anselm College 3-0 on Friday night before losing 3-0 to both CW Post LIU and Stone Hill Saturday afternoon.

 

The Lightning lost to St. Anselm 30-18, 30-21 and 20-23. The scores from the CW Post LIU game were 30-16, 30-25 and 30-22 and the Stone Hill game went 30-25, 30-27 and 30-28.

 

Freshman Adrienne Melvin (Newark, DE) led the Lightning attach against St. Anselm, posting eight kills while junior Norah Burdette (Ellicott City, MD) and freshman Kendra Russell (New Castle, DE) each had six.

 

Against CW Post LIU, Melvin and Russell each had seven kills while Russell sparked the offense against Stone Hill with 10 kills and six blocks.  

 

The Lightning return to action Tuesday night when they take on University of the Sciences in Philadelphia at MBNA America Hall.
