WILMINGTON, DE (October 21, 2004) – Freshman Adrienne Melvin (Newark, DE) had 15 kills and 18 assists to lead Goldey-Beacom College past Bloomfield College, 3-0, Thursday night in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference volleyball action at MBNA America Hall.

The Lightning (14-11, 11-4 CACC) won game one 30-23, game two 30-26 and game three 30-23. With the loss, Bloomfield falls to 5-19 on the season and 5-12 in conference play.

Junior Norah Burdette (Ellicott City, MD) posted 14 kills and eight digs for Goldey-Beacom while junior Clare Phillips (Wilmington, DE) had 11 kills and nine digs.

Juruena Silveira led Bloomfield with 21 kills and 14 digs.
