Seniors
53 – Megan Harper – Catcher – Atco, NJ – Camden Catholic
At Goldey-Beacom: Catcher who calls a smart game and is quick behind the plate…With a cannon arm, it makes it hard for any player to steal bases…2006: Named to the All-CACC Second Team…Hit .306 on the season while recording 37 hits and 27 RBIs…2005: Finished with a .263 batting average…Recorded 36 hits and 15 RBI’s….995 fielding percentage and threw out 12 runners.




 

20 Brittany Knotts – Pitcher/Utility – Felton, DE – Lake Forest

 At Goldey-Beacom: Will help add depth to the Lightning bench and pitching staff.  Played volleyball for her freshman and sophomore year at GBC and was awarded the Lightning Award in 2004.





 


14 – Jillian Murphy – Outfield/Catcher – Wilmington, DE – St. Elizabeth
At Goldey-Beacom: Has great speed and range to come up with key grabs in the outfield…In the batters box, has the great ability to pull the ball, or go to the other side with an outside pitch…2006: Appeared in 33 games and made 29 starts…tallied 14 hits…2005: Connected on 24 hits and tallied 7 RBI’s for the Lightning.





 

22 – Bridget Mount – Infield – Levittown, PA – Harry S. Truman
At Goldey-Beacom: Has great range at second base, comes up with diving plays…Is aggressive both defensively and offensively, getting dirty is her forte...2006: Appeared in 7 games…2005: Started 39 of 42 games played in finishing with a .143 batting average….938 fielding percentage.






 

15 – Kendra Russell – Pitcher – New Castle, DE – Padua Academy
At Goldey-Beacom: Uses many pitches to be a dominating force on the mound…In the batters box she is a threat to any pitcher with her ability to hit with two strikes…2006: Named to the All-CACC First Team…Hit .341 and tallied 43 hits and 53 RBIs…2005: CACC Co-Pitcher of the Week (4/18)…Twice appeared on the CACC Honor Roll…Named to the CACC All-tournament team…Team-leading .396 batting average…Connected for 40 hits, 13 doubles, and 15 RBI’s…1.46 ERA…113 strikeouts.



 


Juniors


9 – Danielle Hufford – Infield – Smyrna, DE – St. Thomas More
At Goldey-Beacom: Has proven flexibility in the infield…2006: Compiled a .375 batting average in 8 at bats.








 

13 – Kelly Miller – Infield – Horntown, VA – Arcadia
At Goldey-Beacom: Smart in the batters box, and her strong arm can be used anywhere in the field…2006: Appeared in 30 games making 26 starts.







 

Sophomore
10 – Kirby Jenkins – Pitcher/Infield – Manassas, VA – Stonewall Jackson
At Goldey-Beacom: A pitcher who has good composure and finesse.  Kirby will solidify the Lightning’s ability to dominate on the mound this season. Will be her first season for the Lightning.






 

44 – Kim Narkiewicz – Outfield – Newark, DE – St. Elizabeth’s
At Goldey-Beacom: Provides speed in the outfield and on the base paths. Her hard work ethic will contribute to the Lightning’s offense and defense.








 

1 – Maura Valentin – Infield – Elkton, MD – North East
At Goldey-Beacom:  Will add depth to the middle infield positions.

2 – Heather Draper – Pitcher – Bridgeville, DE – Seaford
At Goldey-Beacom:  Will add much needed depth to the pitching staff.
