2007 Season Outlook
Few key additions to the many returning players are the basis for an optimistic outlook. On top of the newcomers’ list are Richard Huezo, a midfielder from the prestigious Louisburg College; Chris Steele, a dynamic, exciting attacking midfielder, from Wilmington, DE; Chris Casey, a midfielder from Bowie H.S., MD; Erlin Rodezno, a forward from Bladensburg H.S., MD. These players should be able to strengthen the attacking game and reinforce the midfield. Among the returnees, Coach Finizio will count in particular on the ability and experience of the defensive unit, which includes Matt Adkins, Noel White, Kyle Bailey and Mike Sager. In goal, Senior Rob Garofalo and Junior Garrett Shuler will likely split time.
New Assistant Coach Garry Chandler will rekindle the defensive approach to the game and in turn bring the needed cohesion among the different sectors of the team.
In absolute, Coach Finizio expects for this to be a stronger team than last year’s.
