DOMINICAN, NY (October 9, 2004) – Christian Quinga
had a goal and an assist and Kieran McGovern made two saves as Dominican
College defeated Goldey-Beacom College, 4-0, Saturday afternoon in Central
Atlantic Collegiate Conference men’s soccer action in New York.
Senior netminder Bryan
Rudden (Landenberg, PA)
made five saves for the Lightning (2-11-1, 1-3-1 CACC) before being replaced by
freshman Rob Garofalo
(Lindenwold, NJ), who made three saves.
Dominican
(6-5-1, 3-0 CACC) opened the scoring at 3:53 when Kyle Clancy scored off a feed
from Brent Gaylord. The Lightning saw the lead move to 2-0 at 19:19 when Scott
Silva converted a feed from Clancy to cap the first half scoring.
In the
second half, Gaylord pushed the lead to 3-0 with a goal at 52:29 before Quinga capped the scoring at 72:32.
