#11 Miroslaw Babiarz
Guard Riverside HS, NJ
Mercer County Community College

At Goldey-Beacom College: Selected Co-Captain for the 2007-2008 season, Babiarz shot 47% from three point range last season.
Personal/High School: Miroslaw is a point guard transfer from Mercer County Community College. Playing for Junior College that is known for its Basketball program, Miroslaw was a two year starter and team captain. Was voted the Strength and Conditioning All-American Athlete of the Year while at Mercer County Community College. Miroslaw will major in Human Resources.

At Goldey-Beacom College: Looking to contribute to both guard positions.
Personal/Prev School: At University of Massachusetts, played in 67 games starting in 54, averaged 9.2 points per game and grabbed 3.3 rebounds per game and shot 40% from the floor.

 


#2 Derek Savage

At Goldey-Beacom College: Selected Co-Captain for the 2007-2008 season as well as the previous two seasons.  2nd team All-CACC 2006-2007.  Lead Lightning in scoring, rebounding and blocks last season.  Personal/High School:  Derek Omega Savage…All-State in Basketball and Track & Field 2003-2004.  Played under Coach Dwight Tingle.  Majoring in Business Management.

At Goldey-Beacom College: Appeared in 22 games last season, comes off the bench strong and full of energy.
Personal/High School:
Transfer from Brevard Community College. Was a member of two state championship team at Dunbar High School in Baltimore. He is majoring in Business Management at Goldey-Beacom College.
 


 
Sophomores
#33 Steven Cooper
Forward
Glasgow HS, DE

At Goldey-Beacom College: Started in every game last season, second on team for rebounding and shot 9 points per game.
Personal/High School:
Was voted to the All-State Team and as an Honor Roll Student Athlete. Cooper was ranked one of the top 5 seniors in the state as a senior last season and represented Glasgow High School in the Blue/Gold game. Steve will major in Business Management.
 


#23 Adrian Miles
Guard
DeMatha HS, MD

At Goldey-Beacom College: CACC Rookie of the Year, first in team steals and third in scoring and rebounding.
Personal/High School: Miles comes to Goldey-Beacom College from the basketball powerhouse, DeMatha High School in Maryland. As a senior, Miles DeMatha team finished fourth in the country in the final USA Today polls. Miles, who was voted to the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference All-Conference Team, will play both guard spots for the Lightning. Adrian will major in Management.

At Goldey-Beacom College: Appeared in all 28 games last season, will provide help in the middle.
Personal/High School:
Athletic Forward who was the leading scorer for Dover High last season. Parham was voted the All-State team and as an Honor Roll Student-Athlete. Anthony was recognized as one of the top 10 seniors in the state last year. Anthony will major in Computers.

At Goldey-Beacom College: Will add depth to both guard positions.
Personal/High School: Lettered in varsity basketball. Preston will major in Business Administration.

#15 Darnell Cephas

At Goldey-Beacom College: Looks to add help around the perimeter.
Personal/High School: Former Delaware first team all state member, averaged 28 points per game, in two games had 10 or more 3 pointers.


 


#31 Jon Crawford
Guard/Forward
Leap Academy

At Goldey-Beacom College: Will help strengthen the Lightning’s front court.
Personal/High School: Led Leap Academy to a New Jersey Group 1 Championship.


 


#40 David Curlett
Center
Red Lion Christian High School

At Goldey-Beacom College: Looks to add much needed size to the Lightning roster.

Sanford High School

At Goldey-Beacom College: Will add quickness and be able to help run the offense.
Personal/High School:
Led Sanford to the Delaware State Championship Game and named second team all-state, led state in assists last season.


 


#21 Sammy McDuffie

Bordentown High School

At Goldey-Beacom College: Will look to contribute to the mid-range game.
Personal/High School: Scored 1290 points in two season at Bordentown High School, First team New Jersey Group 1.

Personal/High School: Led Club and High School teams in scoring and assists in his junior year.
