PHILADELPHIA, PA (October 14, 2004) –
The Goldey-Beacom College
golf team defeated both Holy Family University and University of the Sciences
in Pennsylvania Tuesday afternoon at Frankford-Torresdale Country Club in
Philadelphia.
The
Lightning finished at +51 (330) to capture the tournament crown, 31 strokes
ahead of second-place Holy Family at +81 (361) and 44 strokes ahead of USP at
+94 (374). Steve Brenner of Widener finished first overall with a score of 75
on the par 70 course.

The Lightning return to action on October 17 when they compete in the inaugural
Goldey-Beacom Invitational at Haterfeld National Golf
