Services

Appointments are suggested for tutoring and can be made in the ARC, by calling (302) 225-6229, or by contacting arc@gbc.edu. In all messages, please include name (please spell), phone number, subject, and times available.

Students who are unable to keep appointments should contact (302) 225-6229 or arc@gbc.edu to cancel. Students who miss more than two appointments without canceling will need to schedule an appointment with the Dean of Students before another appointment is approved.

Make-up Test Policies and Procedures:

For students:

Appointments: A student must request an appointment to take a make-up test after first obtaining permission from his/her professor. When requesting the appointment via telephone (302) 225-6229 or email at arc@gbc.edu, the student must leave name (please spell), phone number, course, professor’s name, and preferred time. Appointments will be confirmed as soon as possible.

When a student comes to the ARC to take a make-up test, he/she must show a picture ID (preferably a GBC ID). Cell phones are not allowed on the desk while the student is taking the test. They must be turned off and placed in the student’s book bag or purse. No notes or books may be on the desk unless allowed by the professor.

For professors:

Please remind students that they must request an appointment in order to take a make-up test. Please bring tests to the ARC, complete the blue Make-up Test Form, which can be found on the desk, and give the test to Ms. Hartwell. If Ms. Hartwell is not in, the test may be given to Dean Wimberley, Ms. Ridgeway or Mr. Martin in the Student Affairs Office. Please do not give a test to a student staff person or leave it in the Communications Center. Tests are kept in a locked file, which can be accessed by these designated staff members if Ms. Hartwell is not in. Please initial and date the Make-up Test Form when picking up a test.
