Saturday, May 10, 2008 We had so much fun - we’re doing it again! Mark your calendar! Find a foursome and plan now to attend the Second Annual Goldey-Beacom College “Drives for Education” Alumni Golf Outing, Saturday, May 10, 2008, at the Chesapeake Bay Golf Club at Rising Sun. To hasten the pace of play, registration is limited, so be sure to register early! Participants will be assigned starting holes as they arrive at the Golf Club. The event will adhere to a Scramble format. “Longest Drive” (one for men and one for women), “Closest to the Pin”, “Bet the Pro”, and Putting Contest will take place as part of the day’s event. Greens fees, car, boxed lunch and dinner included in fee. Sponsorships are available from $100 to $5,000! For reservations and information: To reserve a spot, request additional information, or to receive a registration brochure, contact Marsha Corcoran, Director of Development and Alumni Relations at phone 302-225-6261 or e-mail: corcorm@gbc.edu. Warm Reunion for Franklin Hall Residents Thanks for another successful Beef ‘n Beer/Silent Auction
The beef was tender, but the bidding was tough at the 9th Annual Beef ‘n Beer/Silent Auction that was held on Wednesday, February 27, 2008. Guests of the Alumni Association and the College enjoyed a buffet of beef and turkey sandwiches, complemented by potato salad and cole slaw. Chips, Salsa, brownies and cookies, made it a casual, but complete meal. Guests then bid on 50-plus items ranging from NASCAR tickets to a Green Room Brunch – Longwood Gardens visit. The Alumni Association sends big thanks to all whose support provides funds to provide scholarships and help student organizations throughout the college. Next year’s date is coming soon. |
