2007 Rising Star Award

William P. Brady, Esquire

Goldey-Beacom College, 1991

 

William P. Brady is a sole practitioner attorney in Wilmington, Delaware, establishing his firm, William P. Brady, P.A., in July 2002. His practice focuses on real estate matters, including purchase and refinance settlements, landlord/tenant litigation, representation of homeowner and condominium associations and other real property issues, as well as estate planning, probate matters and general civil litigation. He is a frequent lecturer at real estate related Continuing Legal Education seminars in Delaware.

Mr. Brady is admitted to practice law in Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He is the current Chair of the Small Firms and Solo Practitioners’ Section of the Delaware State Bar Association and is actively involved with the Real and Personal Property Section. He also serves on a committee formed by the Delaware Justice of the Peace Court which has planned and presented a series of outreach programs for self-represented litigants in Landlord/Tenant matters. He serves as a volunteer attorney providing pro bono legal services to low income clients through Delaware Volunteer Legal Services.

Mr. Brady, a Delaware native, graduated from St. Mark’s High School in 1984. He received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Goldey-Beacom College in May 1991 and a Juris Doctorate degree from Widener University School of Law in May 1994. Prior to opening his own law firm, he was a staff attorney with UAW Legal Services in Newark, Delaware from August 1995 to April 1999 and was an associate with Losco & Marconi, P.A. in Wilmington, Delaware from May 1999 to June 2002

Mr. Brady also leads a busy private life. He enjoys golf, softball with the Wilmington Lawyers’ Softball League, photography, and antique/classic automobile restoration. In connection with this last vocation, Mr. Brady also serves as a Technical Advisor for the Fairlane Club of America, a national classic-car club, and provides guidance and information to members for use in the repair and restoration of their own personal collector cars. He and his wife, Deborah, live in suburban Newark, Delaware with their young sons, Patrick and Sean.
